“On October 6th the whole world blacked out for two minutes and seventeen seconds. The whole world saw the future.”

This is the opening line of ABC’s newest hit to come to Brazil, the TV series called FlashForward, considered by many as the official replacement for Lost in terms of popularity. Loosely based on the novel by Robert J. Sawyer, the plot of FlashForward presents us several characters and one big event - a massive human blackout in which people could catch a glimpse of two minutes and seventeen seconds of their own future. As all of them get to see the same instant of one particular day, it’s left for agent Benford (Joseph Fiennes) and his FBI team to investigate the strange phenomenon that took place all around the globe.
More than a simple action show, FlashForward gives the audience a chance to wonder what would happen if we knew what was to come and the strenght that fate carries upon our choices.
FlashForward is being aired every Tuesday at 22:00 on AXN Channel. The series has just started around here, so there’s still time to catch up!
